On a personal note, Pinky Strings was created because I needed a way to remember to give medicine to my son. I couldn't leave the bottle on the counter or table as it would be too easy for little fingers to access. A friend suggested that I place something safer on the table that would remind me to get the medicine when it was needed.
While I was thinking of some sort of token to use as a reminder, my mind wandered to the phrase "tie a string around your finger". But since I couldn't even remember the phrase the right way, I ended up with "tie a string around your pinky".
Thus, PINKY STRINGS was born.
